After England’s victory in the Battle of Waterloo, the Prince Regent arranges a series of lavish celebrations at London’s notorious Vauxhall Gardens. The royal festivities bring together the rich and the desperate, the criminal and the lordly…and allow four very different dukes to find the love of a lifetime. A proper viscount is kidnapped by a duke of the criminal underworld, only to encounter a mysterious woman from his past. A retired prizefighter, once known as the Duke of the Ring, stakes his reputation on a scrappy young boxer for the sake of a long-lost love. A traveler who inherited a dukedom needs a tightrope dancer’s help with a fake engagement that just might turn real. And the buccaneer son of a royal duke goes hunting for a respectable, highborn wife to salvage his scandalous reputation. Let the pleasures begin...

1. Taken by the Duke This has a totally unrealistic plot that I just couldn't get into. The hero was okay (barely), but I didn't care for the heroine at all. 1 Star2. Fighting for his Lady Ugh. The daughter of a former fighting great is helping prepare her brother for a championship bout and must call on her former lover for help. Since I don't care for boxing at all (and in Regency times it was REALLY brutal) this didn't appeal to me at all. 2 Stars
3. The Prodigal Duke A new Duke has just returned to England after making his fortune abroad. He runs into his former love who is now a rope dancer making her living by performing 60 feet in the air. This was much better than the first two stories but still more than a little unrealistic to me. 3 Stars
4. The Buccaneer Duke Now that the war is over, a buccaneer has been ordered home by his father to settle down and find a bride. The only woman he wants is the daughter of a wealthy merchant who is also his greatest rival in business...and does not want his daughter to associate with the new Duke. 4 Stars

The Dukes of Vauxhall Vanessa Kelly Christi Caldwell Theresa Romain Shana Galen 9781546554561 Books Reviews
An anthology of four Regency Era romances with inter-connecting characters and all taking place at Vauxhall.
None of the stories stood out.
I loved this book. They were four individual stories, but they had elements of the other stories as a backdrop that added to their own plots. What a wonderful idea. I will definitely read more from these authors.
The Dukes of Vauxhall was a nice collection of stories. Each tale was very different and Vauxhall Gardens has always been a place that has captured my imagination.
My favorite was Taken by the Duke by Shana Galen. Both the Duke and Bexley were fantastic characters, and I don't want to give any spoilers away.
Poppy and Leo from The Prodigal Son were lovely as well. I loved the fact that Poppy was a tight-rope walker, as well as having great chemistry.
I love the stories I have read by each of these authors. They have provided me with a great deal of enjoyment.
These 4 stories were not the very best by any of these writers.
All the stories are connected by the fact they take place at a celebration at Vauxhall Gardens. For me, the stories were OK, but not spectacular as I would expect from this group.
Bur, because of the talent here, the writing is much better than some anthologies I have read recently. I say go for it, and you might like the book more than I have.
You can't go wrong with this book. Love that they brought characters from other books and gave them their own wonderful stories.
I absolutely enjoy that they really collaborated so people and events were tied into each other. Fun to pick up on those details. Made it that much more enjoyable!
I absolutely love this book and it's have not only 1 story but 4 from all of my favorite authors. I loved all of them.
What an amazing treat! 4 five star authors, Shana Galen, Vanessa Kelly, Christi Caldwell, and Theresa Romain, has joined and brought us 4 five star adventurous stories, linked together through scandal, murder, mystery, love, passion, and adventure of 4 engrossing couples.
Four dukes, two balls, one prizefight, and a Vauxhall celebration Prinny’s birthday. The rich, desperate, lordly, and even the criminal, join in the festivities. A duke of the underworld encounters a lady from his past while kidnapping a viscount. The Duke of the Ring, famous prizefighter, risks his reputation for the sake of a past love. Another Duke needs help from a tightrope dancer in faking an engagement. The son of a Duke is on the hunt for a respectable wife to help salvage his reputation. Vauxhall Gardens will never again be the same.
Each of these authors has earned a place on my keeper shelf. Their books are filled with action, page turning passion, romance, twists and turns, secrets, and lies, humor and heartbreak. The reader reaches the last page feeling they have read a complete romance, feeling as if they became a part of the story and have escaped into another time and place.
This book, each author, and everything they have written is highly recommended. I look forward to each new release.
